Inspiration by collage night with Diane Keaton’s collage style, using portraits and lines. In line with motion theme, I found an image of a man windsurfing. Used an embroidery thread for the lines going to the chute….also def more water.

Added pine trees between horse’s tailed and boots; wooden walkway /trail wrapped around the pumpkin and a macro photo of water dew drop that looks like a jewel beads on the boots.

A lot late sending my original due to Canada Post strike. I had fun starting this…used a scrapbook page that looks like a memory board. I created a Polaroid photo using cardstock and acetate and drew in permanent marker the image of my son and hubby on my son’s first driving lesson on my husband’s Camaro (his price possession).

Love this medium, I had a chance to put my touches on each page. Front page- added air balloon collapsing air balloon. Middle page – added a stage and coloured in the rest of the curtain and a special balcony. Extended lines to the left of the page to expand the theatre and added a light. Back Cover- added dragonflies; bit grass with gold pen and added a blue area with Copic blue marker to add water.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has gone on strike following Thursday’s government announcement of sweeping service cutbacks. Canada Post’s operations will shut down for the duration of the strike; mail and parcels will not be processed or delivered. Canada Post promises, “All mail and parcels in the postal network will be secured and delivered as quickly as possible once operations resume.“
Last year, there was a Canada Post strike between November 15 and December 17. It was a cause for concern, but I think the affected groups were able to wait it out and complete the project without lasting impact.

I am so excited to be a part of this project, my third time around. I decided to play with a bit of white space, which is very far outside my comfort zone, but I think it’s important to include it on the original picture (or not :)). I also had to include this big, interesting horse nose and some other fun plays on perspective and proportion. Can’t wait to see where it goes!
