Hi friends, I received my starter inside another project that seems to be made into a book format. My original format included a string so the it could be hung on a wall as I know it can be hard to display artist books in galleries. But therein lies the adventure of collaboration so, I’m sticking with the book format and will send it on the Marty in the morning! Thanks everyone!

Thank you all for your contributions to this collage. I have loved them all. It’s finished and ready to ship.

This mobile came with two golden spirals that seemed very difficult to integrate so I cut them up and made them like steppingstones up the DNA galaxy spiral. This one originated from Sharon Trueworthy.

I got this collage and it seemed to be about girls and fish and Japan. I added snails and cut out strips from a Japanese to English and English to Japanese dictionary.
There are a few myths in Japan about snails.
Carrying Home: Symbolizes self-sufficiency and the idea of home being within.
Fertility: Ancient Japanese cultures viewed snails as highly fertile.
In essence, snails in Japanese lore are more than just slow creatures; they embody trickery, transformation, spiritual depth, and persistence.
“The Snail Son,” where a snail transforms into a handsome man, highlighting themes of patience, self-reliance, and hidden beauty, with snails also symbolizing Zen concepts of inner focus and enlightenment.

I’m mailing Theodore ‘s. Collage project in the morning

I have been very disorganized so my photos of the collages are way behind. I’ve lost track of the order.

Another collage I received. I took the photo but I’ve forgotten who started it. Maybe someone can claim it.

This is what i started. It’s a collage sculpture creature. If someone wants me to send them a little extra for shipping it email me. I think about it as a sort of a steam punk Eraserhead/Cronenberg inspired toy-nightmare.

Collage #2: Sharon’s starter collage is now with JJ.
It was challenging, but I finally saw the light and turned it into a mobile, this is a first for me!
Thank you

Just about ready to send Theo’s collage on. This one really made me think.

Welcome to my Starter Collage,
No specific Instructions, I’ll leave it to your interpretation…
A hint maybe: Rustic Tech, a faded music page mixed with a transparent keyboard electronic circuit….
