I got a little behind on this, so my apologies for forwarding it rather late! (Christmas holidays, and some difficulty with the creative process are my excuses). I added some elements that continued with the language theme, and I brought in some human elements (that I tend to gravitate toward) and an abstract shape just for the hell of it. Hope this piece remains something wonderful even as it continues its transformational collaborative journey.

posting my contributions to Thomas Mace’s starter. I really appreciated the handmade paper background on Thomas’ starter. I tried to work minimally so that didn’t get covered up. Sometimes less is more! I mainly worked on the top half by adding some Asian inspired elements to the figure.

Wow! What a great starter by Lani! I loved all the drawn lines and doodles which gave it so much character. I definitely did not want to cover that up. Instead, I emphasized the lines and shapes by stitching on top of what was there and coloring in some of the shapes. I also added a few open stitched shapes and a few paper pieces. I like how it’s progressing.

I just can’t work small, so I doubled the size of Orit’s original collage — and it’s still small! But that low mailing price was a treat. Curious to see what my creative teammates turn this into. (I used Jackie’s travel-themed envelope and added a few of my own images and a hand drawn element or two).

I have received Scott’s contribution and have finished my own. I have yet to hear from Lani Asher to get a mailing address. I have contacted Marty and he says he has contacted her. I have yet to hear from her. My pipeline is blocked for now. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.
