Update on collage I mailed yesterday!

Lori Sams, October 18, 2025

Hi everyone,
I am dropping Janice’s collage in the mail today, sending it on to Margaretta.
I also had a bit of a block and nervousness about this first collaboration! While I know the entire point of a collaborative project is building upon the piece we receive, I wonder if maybe this first round is trickier because it’s coming straight from the originator, so it feels very much like altering someone else’s work, but once we get to the 2nd and 3rd and so on rounds, the pieces will feel more like group pieces and therefore easier to modify……….just thinking out loud…… :)

Elizabeth Brasfield, September 26, 2025

Hey y’all,

I’m a first timer and am so excited to be a part of my group. I’m looking forward to seeing what we create.

I received Brian Sherman’s early on; a wonderful abstract piece I added a little color to. I’m putting his and mine in the mail today, Friday, September 26th (a day late sadly!) for Janice Kuchinka.

I had a bit of a block in the beginning, but finally started and thoroughly enjoyed beginning. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
