Hi All!
I finally mailed out Originator Collage 46C (Louis Libert) on 4/3/26 to Marty in Berkeley. I’m sorry it took me so long to finish. Putting the final touches on a collage is always the hardest part for me. I’m including a scan of the final piece. My final contributions included:
-applying filters to different parts of the collage; cutting them out in different sized circles; and drawing a border around with regular, metallic, and glitter markers.
-adding elements from photos I’ve taken and in some cases adding borders with markers around the edges of the elements
-including words from some of my writing. I took lines from different written pieces and created new writing from the combination. I also drew on the text with colored pencils.
I can’t wait to see how all the other pieces turned out. I will be going to the opening. I’m looking forward to meeting Marty, anyone else who comes, and seeing all the finished pieces from all the groups.

I got word today that my collage had been received by the Berkeley Commonplace for the Collage Project. exciting! Thank you for your part in it this adventure. I felt like celebrating with the postal workers when I dropped in off in the mail.
I look forward to seeing your project in it’s final state if you would like to share it here.

Mailed Originator Collage 46D (Kriste Lindberg) to Kriste Lindberg on 2/8/2026. My contribution consisted of elements from photos I took in March 2025 in Denmark. The black strip with colored circles in the center was from a Kusuma installation at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebaek. The coin behind the fairy’s head on the right is an ancient coin from Denmark. The rest of what I added is windows from around Copenhagen. Attached are scans of the collage after I made my changes and also the back of the letter that has been accompanying the collage.

Received Originator Collage 46D (Kriste Lindberg) in the mail on Monday, February 2. Here’s what it looked like when I received it and also the accompanying letter. I’m hoping to have the collage in the mail to Kriste by Friday, February 6. If not, then for sure by Monday, February 9.

I mailed Originator Collage 46E (Niki Hare) to Kriste Lindberg on 12/23/25. My main contributions to the collage involved treating various existing elements with different color filters and superimposing photos I took with some transparency so the photos are more of a texture over the original element. A mountain element that I applied a red filter to was also extended by flipping it along the horizontal axis and putting it next to itself to extend the mountain range. I added part of a photo I took in the desert in the Eastern Sierras to the lower left. It was a lot of fun working with this collage and finding my place in it. I can’t wait to see where it goes next. Attached is a scan of the front and back of the collage after I made my contributions.

Mailed Originator Collage 46A (Elizabeth Hale) via UPS to Kriste Lindberg on Sunday, November 30. Attached are images of both sides of the postcard I created as well as the letter I wrote to accompany the postcards and letters. I used only photographs that I took in the Eastern Sierras for my tourist postcard for the Eastern Sierras – an area I love and have visited many times. Thanks Elizabeth for giving us a fun challenge with your tourist postcard theme. I’ve never done anything like this before. It was lots of fun. I love what Elizabeth and Ellen did for their postcards. I can’t wait to see what the last two folks do for theirs.

Added to Elen Wardell’s 46B Originator Collage. I will send it out on Monday October 27. I scanned Ellen’s original and printed different versions with different filters. I collaged in patches of these different version over the original. So it’s the same overall collage but with patches treated differently. On the bottom I added part of a photo I took in the Alabama Hills in the Eastern Sierras of California. I can’t wait to see what other folks. Please scan or take photos of future versions to share on here.
