Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets to Art Party 2022, participated in hands-on art making activities, and submitted the winning bids for silent auction items. Proceeds from this event help to support the mission and projects of Berkeley Commonplace such as the Round Table Collaboration Postal Collage Project and other inclusive community art projects in Berkeley and beyond.

Art Party 2022 was our very first fundraising event with live music, wine and refreshments, hands-on art making stations, silent auction & more!

WHY – Berkeley Commonplace is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to bring about and support collaborative art projects and creative activities for the purpose of personal, social and civic well-being. Each ticket purchased for this event helps to support the mission and projects of Berkeley Commonplace such as the Round Table Collaboration Postal Collage Project and other inclusive community art projects in Berkeley and beyond.

LIVE MUSIC by The Bobby and Kai Duo – Traveling musically from Cuba to Brazil, Percussionist Bobby Wallace (David Rudder, Bonnie Raitt) and Guitarist Kai Lyons (Sentimiento y Manana) play Latin classics mixed with funky originals.

SILENT AUCTION – gift baskets for spa lovers, coffee lovers, arts and crafts lovers, people who love to cook, and for kids too

EXHIBITION – See the final afternoon of the Round Table Collaboration Postal Collage Project No. 11 exhibition at Berkeley Art Center and register to participate in Project No. 12 (if you haven’t already).

Light Blocks 3D Theater is an interactive, multimedia installation project in which photographic imagery is projected onto a modular, three dimensional screen comprising dozens of prepared cardboard boxes created by Marty McCutcheon. Viewers rearrange the screen.
Soft Futures – On a giant frame loom, weave together roving wool and found materials to help create a community collage tapestry with local artist Andrea Guskin.
maybe/possibly/perhaps is a hands-on making meditation on facets, perspectives and points of view created by C.K.Itamura.
Art on WallsA collective reflection with words and drawings about walls we negotiate in life created by Julie Marten.
